Divestone came together shortly after the landfall of Huricane Katrina in 2005. While working at the Coast Guard search and rescue station in Gulfport MS, three of the members discovered that they had something in common, they were all musicians. To escape the insanity of the aftermath to the Gulf Coast they decided to relieve some anxiety through playing some music together. After finding that they meshed together. they started to take it a little more serious than just a garage band, so they sought out a lead singer to fill the void. In came Vick Richie. Another active duty military member who responded to an ad put out from the band, came to audition. The rest was history. He was the perfect match for the band. A few practices later and Divestone was playing in all the local hotspots for live music on the Gulf Coast.

Divestone has writen over 15 original songs in just under 1 year playing together and has already recorded their first CD. Expect big things to come from Divestone in the near future.
