Greg Griffin was born and raised in Lucedale, MS and his interest in music nurtured by his father at an early age. Greg’s singing style emulates the styles of George Jones, Merle Haggard and other country legends while blending the hard rocking styles of Led Zeppelin, ZZTop and the kings of southern rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd. Greg went to Nashville in 2000 and cut his self-titled debut CD, Greg Griffin. Greg steadily performed at the Nashville Palace, various TV shows and fairs throughout the south. After a well-deserved break, Greg and longtime friend, guitarist and song-writer, Jimmy Gray, joined forces with multi-talented drummer Keith Dykes and bass player, Mike Jackson to form the “Dry Creek band”. Now, all of the influences of each band member are blended into “Greg Griffin and the Dry Creek Band”, a unique country/southern rock sound.
