Matt Hoggatt was born and raised on the Ms Gulf Coast in the heart of "Katrina country" in the small town of Gautier, Ms. Having been a member of marching bands all his life, it was no surprise that Matt enlisted into the U.S Army National Guard band after high school where he served honorably for 7 years. Matt's music is best described as "Gulf-Western-Americana" compared to the likes of Jimmy Buffett, John Mellencamp, Chris Knight and Steve Earle. If you like sand in your toes, tears in your beer and laughing until you hurt......there is a song for you.
