Become a Food Vendor

Great food is the heart of any festival and the Crawfish Music Festival will not disappoint. For our 2024 Festival, we are seeking a few vendors specializing in a variety of crawfish and Cajun dishes such as crawfish pies, crawfish bread, and other specialty dishes.

APPLICATION PROCESS

A deposit of $300 is required, with a complete application by April 3, 2024. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance. Space is limited, and booths will be reserved by invitation. Faxed applications must be accompanied by a credit card authorization form. Applications must be submitted with the following:

  • Application fee paid by cash or credit card. No checks, no exceptions.
  • Digital or printed photos of the booth to include exterior, interior, equipment, and food items.
  • Menu choices with pricing.
  • Certificate of Insurance or intent to purchase insurance through the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
If accepted, the application fee will be applied to booth rental. The balance of the full rental amount must be paid in full by APRIL 3, 2024. Applications submitted after April 3,2024, must be accompanied by the full rental amount.

MENUS

Menu items are subject to approval. The Festival will limit the types of merchandise and food items allowed at the Festival in an effort to increase vendor sales. Provide your menu choices. Items are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. A limited number of vendors may sell some items. ONLY THE ITEMS APPROVED TO BE SOLD ARE ALLOWED. Selling unapproved items without notice will make you ineligible to return for future events. The sale of Alcoholic Beverages is Strictly Prohibited. Tea and Lemonade are the only beverages allowed to be sold.

BOOTH REQUIREMENTS

Trucks and Trailer space measure 10'x10'. Vendor may not exceed 10' in depth and 10' in length. Vendors may serve from ONE SIDE only. Use diagram provided to indicate serving side. Stock trucks are not permitted on Festival grounds during Festival hours, no exceptions.

Trucks and trailers must be clean and remain clean throughout the Festival. All equipment needed for food preparation must be inside the designated space. Table, chairs, etc. placed outside of designated space must be approved before set-up. Menus with pricing must be displayed at all times.

  • Upon arrival, report to the administrative office, where you will receive your vendor packet and be escorted to your booth space. Do not attempt to set up without first reporting to the office (Katelan King or Brandon Cuevas). All booths must be operational before the start of the festival on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. NO VEHICLES CAN BE MOVING ON THE GROUNDS WHEN OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. If you do not pick up your packet by noon or make other arrangements with the Vendor Manager, you will be considered a no-show and will forfeit your fees. You will not be able to move and must remain in the same location the entire time of the festival. No Exceptions.
  • All food vendors will be allowed to move in WEDNESDAY, April 17, 2024, beginning at 8:00 AM. Set up must be complete by THURSDAY, April 18, 2024, at 12:00 PM. (DEPENDING ON INSPECTION)
  • The MS State Department of Health will inspect food booths on the Festival grounds. Fees should have been prepaid to MS Coast Coliseum. Food booths cannot open without proper inspection and approval by the MS State Department of Health.
  • The Mississippi Department of Revenue requires all vendors to submit 7% of the total sales. The form given to you in your vendor packet must be completed and returned to the office after the Festival. Failure to do so will automatically disqualify you from participating in any future festival/event at MS Coast Coliseum and Convention Center.
  • The dumping of gray water is not allowed on the grounds. You must provide your own gray water tank. Absolutely no leaking of water or liquid on the grounds of any type will be tolerated!


STOCK TRAILERS AND CAMPERS

No stock trailers or campers will be allowed on Festival grounds. Stock trailers and campers will be allowed to park in assigned overflow parking area and require a parking permit. Electricity is provided for an additional fee on a first come, first serve basis and must be reserved in advance. ($60/day/hookup) ($100/Camper Permit) (No charge for stock trailer parking)

MUST BRING YOUR OWN EXTENSION CORDS | 150' MINNIMUM IS RECCOMMENDED.

INSURANCE

All vendors are required to provide a valid certificate of liability insurance. Insurance coverage must be in the name of the vendor for $2,000,000 liability with the Mississippi Coast Coliseum Commission named additional insured. Effective dates must cover move in and move out. If the vendor does not have coverage, the Festival can secure adequate insurance for an additional fee.
