In addition to the fantastic pizzas, the Sal & Mookie’s menu offers gourmet grilled Panini sandwiches, classic Little-Italy style pastas and appetizers, huge salads, hot New York submarine sandwiches, and out-of-this-world open flame-grilled hamburgers with names like the Satriale (a combination of ground beef and ground pork), the Statue of Liberty (a true all-American burger), or the Turkey Lurkey (ground turkey and great condiments).
When it comes time for dessert, the choices are overwhelming because Sal & Mookie’s has an entire ice cream parlor right inside the restaurant! Obviously, Sal & Mookie’s is family friendly, but adults are not forgotten in the mix. “When Dan and I dreamed this up, we wanted to provide a place where parents would want to take their kids,” shares Jeff Good. “Too often, family-oriented restaurants serve substandard food, or give substandard service, or are just ‘too kiddy’ in concept. At Sal & Mookie’s, our food is top quality and the experience is a pleasant one for all. We have an extensive beer offering with local and regional craft beers, a fully stocked bar with dozens of custom created cocktails like the Bada Bing and the Mookarita, and a nice well-rounded wine program.
